The question

How can the hull surface be examined consistently without replacing the intended shape with an idealised one? The R02 archive includes transverse sections, longitudinal views, fairness analysis and a feature-intent review.

The record

These records make the surface investigation traceable. The full-hull fairness report identifies itself as a completed geometric review, not an acceptance test. A study revision does not establish that the board has been redesigned or that performance has improved.

Keep the reference intact

The original engineering files remain the reference. Website images are derived presentation assets. Older study records remain available so later decisions can be related to the evidence that informed them.

Next steps

Any later geometry change should be linked to the issue it addresses and checked using compatible measurements. Performance improvements need simulation or test evidence with stated conditions.

Added four section graphics redrawn from the actual R02 coordinate samples. Equal scales preserve the section proportions. This does not establish performance improvement.

Later corrections and follow-up studies will link back to this record.
